A Regional Contact Office (RCO) : What is it ?
The Regional Contact Office (RCO) of Midi-Pyrénées and Aquitaine
Set up in the frame of the Doris_Net project, a Regional Contact Office (RCO) is a sort of Office for satellite applications acting at regional level in order to promote the use of satellite applications on Earth Observation and raise the awareness on their potential reinforced by the GMES (Global Monitoring for Environment and Security) european program.
The RCO ensures several missions :
identify and inventory GMES services (primarily in the region)
identify users
conduct awareness campaigns, demonstrate the potential of satellite applications, share experiences, success stories (...)
